Gilla FC experienced an unforgettable experience on the luxury yacht of The Lux Yachts
Gilla FC, a soccer team that has become a social media phenomenon, spent a memorable event on The Lux Yachts’ luxury yacht in Helsinki. Team stars such as Roni Bäck, Max Blomfelt, Turisti and Ilari Mettälä, as well as many other well-known names were involved in this unique experience. The Lux Yachts provided the perfect milieu for the summer event, which combined luxury cruising, activities and a wonderful archipelago landscape.
Luxury and activities at sea
The event started as planned from Katajanokka’s Kanavaranta, where Gilla FC members boarded The Lux luxury yachts. From the very beginning, it was clear that something extraordinary was about to happen. The Helsinki archipelago provided a wonderful setting for the cruise, and The Lux Yachts’ professional crew took care of the guests’ comfort throughout the day.
During the day, an exceptionally large and diverse program was realized. “Gilla’s event was a new kind of execution for us as well. We needed three yachts, a tender, a sauna raft, jet skis, and a helicopter was also brought to the scene. The day began as planned at Kanavaranta in Katajanokka, where our home port is located. We split the group into three different yachts and set out to sea in style. After a short cruise, we headed towards a sheltered cove, known as the ‘Lagoon of Love.’ A sauna raft, a jacuzzi, and a couple of jet skis were waiting there. The catering was handled this time by our tender, which picked up food from a nearby restaurant and delivered it directly to the lagoon. A few hours later, we headed back to Kanavaranta, and our crew had a moment to relax before the evening continuation. Gilla had another program segment, after which they returned to our main yacht to spend the rest of the evening. The whole day was a great success from start to finish, and all parties were satisfied,” says Simo Konttinen, captain of The Lux Yachts.
During the day, the participants had the chance to enjoy jet skis and other activities, relax on the sauna raft by the jacuzzi, and sample carefully selected drinks and delicious snacks. All arrangements were made to perfection, and the atmosphere remained high throughout the day

It was great to see everyone engage in deeper conversations, which you don’t always have time for in the locker room. The setting was perfect, and there was a smile on everyone’s face. This is the perfect starting point for tackling the autumn season and aiming for promotion to the 4th division, the opportunities are there.”
