A Season Made Special by Our Crew: The People at the Heart of Every Unforgettable Yacht Experience
As the yachting season draws to a close, it is natural to look back on the beautiful scenery, successful charters and memorable moments shared with our guests. At The Lux Yachts, however, we also want to recognise the people who make these experiences possible: our crew.
A luxury yacht charter may appear effortless to the guest. There are breathtaking archipelago views, carefully prepared meals, attentive service and the opportunity to enjoy time on the water in complete privacy. Behind that experience lies a great deal of preparation, coordination, attention to detail and hard work. A yacht experience is shaped as much by the people delivering it as by the vessel itself. For us, exceptional service is about more than a beautiful yacht or a carefully planned itinerary. It comes from the people who anticipate needs, take pride in the smallest details, connect with guests and work together to ensure every charter runs smoothly.
As we reflect on the season, we want to thank every member of The Lux Crew for the contribution you have made to our shared goals. Every role matters, and it is the combination of individual skills, personalities and experience that strengthens our team.

This season, we welcomed Lova Forsman as the newest member of our team. Lova works aboard our Princess 75 yacht in Helsinki, combining the roles of chef and stewardess. Her contribution extends across both the guest experience and the yacht’s day-to-day upkeep. As chef, she creates delicious meals that add another dimension to a charter. In her stewardess role, she helps maintain the vessel to a high standard, bringing care, organisation and attention to detail to the many tasks that take place behind the scenes. Balancing these responsibilities requires adaptability, pride in one’s work and a commitment to maintaining standards, even when much of the effort goes unseen by guests. That dedication is an essential part of delivering the experience our clients expect. We want to recognise Lova for her hard work, positive contribution and willingness to take on the demands of life aboard a busy charter yacht. We are delighted to have her skills as part of the team and look forward to seeing where her career takes her. We wish her continued growth, success and many rewarding opportunities in the years ahead.
Some of the most meaningful achievements of a season are not measured by the number of charters completed or events delivered. They are measured by the growth of the people who help make them happen.

Fredrik Malmström, known to us as Freddy, began his journey with The Lux Yachts as a deckhand. Over the past three seasons, he has developed within the company, taken on greater responsibility and become an important part of our client relations and onboard charter operations. His progression has taken him from the practical demands of deck work into a broader role involving guest interaction, hospitality and helping ensure our charters run smoothly. It is a progression built through experience, trust, commitment and a willingness to learn. Freddy’s journey is a reminder of the value of giving people the opportunity to develop.
When individuals grow alongside a business, they bring with them not only their skills, but also an understanding of its standards, clients and culture. Over time, that knowledge becomes an important part of the service a company delivers.
This season also marks a bittersweet farewell. Freddy is moving on to a prestigious new role within the luxury service sector. While we are genuinely sad to see him leave The Lux Yachts, we are equally pleased to see him take this next step in his career. We wish him every success, fulfilment and exciting opportunities in the chapter ahead. Freddy will always be part of The Lux family. We are proud of what he has accomplished during his time with us, and we would welcome him back in a heartbeat. That reflects the professional he has become and the colleague he has been.
Our heartfelt thanks go to the entire Lux Crew. Thank you for your professionalism, flexibility, reliability and the energy you have brought to this season. Thank you for the work that guests see, and equally for the countless details they may never notice but that make all the difference to their experience.
Successful yacht charter operations depend on far more than vessels and destinations. They rely on people, trust and a shared commitment to doing things well, day after day. One season ends, but the memories, lessons and relationships built along the way continue. Some of our team will keep moving forward with us, while others begin exciting new chapters of their own. We are grateful for the part each person has played and wish everyone the very best.
